as a fantasy world it is superior to Eragon, and pure fun The Times Really, really good ... gripping. Never read anything like it before Forest Hill Boys School reviewer

About the Author
The designer of Bob the Builder, creator of Frankenstein's Cat and Raa Raa the Noisy Lion, and the author/illustrator of numerous children's books, Curtis Jobling lives with his family in Cheshire, England. Early work on Aardman's Wallace & Gromit and Tim Burton's Mars Attacks led to him picking up his crayons in 1997 to design the BAFTA winning Bob. The animated series of Frankenstein's Cat, based upon Curtis's book of the same name, picked up the Pulcinella award for Best Children's Show at the 2008 International Cartoons On The Bay festival in Salerno, Italy. His noisy new preschool show, Raa Raa, can be seen on CBeebies, while his original paintings and prints sell in galleries the world over. Although perhaps best known for his work in TV and picture books, Curtis's other love has always been horror and fantasy for an older audience. Wereworld is his first novel. www.curtisjobling.com

My son really likes the series, but this one is not the best among them.
By M. Wang
My son loves fantasy novels, and currently the WereWorld series stands at No.3 in his personal ranking behind George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones 5-Book Boxed Set (Song of Ice and Fire series): A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons and Bartimaeus 3-book boxed set (Bartimaeus Trilogy), and way ahead of anything that Anne McCaffrey or Rick Riordan have written.

My son likes to summarize this series for me as follows: Imagine the author of Bob the Builder: Best of Bob the Builder having an epiphany after reading George R. R. Martin's A Game of Thrones 5-Book Boxed Set (Song of Ice and Fire series): A Game of Thrones, A Clash of Kings, A Storm of Swords, A Feast for Crows, and A Dance with Dragons and ending up writing a young-adults' version. The narrative is not as exquisitely laid out and the scale is smaller, but most of the excitement and twists are there. The best part is that Curtis Jobling does not suffer from the same writer's block as George R.R. Martin, so fans are not tortured by years of waiting between books. In fact, we just bought the 6th and final book, War of the Werelords (Wereworld), which brought the series to a more-or-less satisfying conclusion.

I would have given the series a five star rating overall, but this entry is among the weaker of the 6 books, so just 4 stars.

Another excellent installment
By nabalie
I've fallen in love with this series and hope it never ends but the war in Lyssia won't last forever.
With the supporters of the Wolves taking a beating from every corner and more troops arriving across the ocean from Bast things certainly look bleak.

Drew Ferran a.k.a the future king is trying to lend his aid to all his supporters but he's only one Lycanthrope and now disabled after his capture in Cape Gala. The beasts of Bast march on to suppress Lyssia while the Cannibal Wylderman have Brackenholm in their sights after news Lord Berghan is missing.
His friends are spread out over the land learning who they are and how to survive this cursed War.

The story is told from the different view points of Drews friends giving a full picture of the trials of war, love and friendship. Characters in the same situation write from their perspective which is really unique and you can see where loyalties truly lie.

Cover art for US and UK is compelling and drew me into the series. No editing errors that I noticed and the dialogue had a good flow with it switching with the dialects of the characters.

A great read for all ages. Can't wait for the next installment!
