Chock full of scripture and information!

I just finished reading this book and found it to be filled to the brim with both scriptural reference, legal suggestions, letters and personal testimony of the author. I loved the first chapter which helped me understand the initiator vs. non-initiator thought processes. I got a little overwhelmed with scriptural quotation and explanation towards the end of the book, but it just slowed me down and I had to think a little harder! ;-) Overall, great book and reference for anyone going through the painful road of separation or divorce.

This book is excellant for the Christian facing a Divorce. Gives a person a heads up into what the other party may be doing as well as provides spirital guidence and encouragement to the person whom has been hurt beyond belief. Since my divorce, I have been doing some Christian Counseling and have kept 3 copies on hand, that I loan out to others to assist with the shock and recovery process.

A Charming Delight!

The geographical setting for this book is based along the Gulf Coast of Alabama - a near perfect backdrop of southern romance and charm for which this author writes. Taylor does a very good job of painting a narrative that draws images of interpersonal relationships, family, and an inspiring message of hope in the face of life's challenges.

I particularly enjoyed the way I was drawn in by the imagery created by the descriptive writing, most especially when the author brought me nearer and nearer to the shoreline and the sometimes turbulent and unforgiving Gulf. I have long had a love for the coastline of the Gulf of Mexico and all the charm, rich history, and allure that is connected with it.

This is the perfect book to escape into a world where fiction captures the essence of real life without an overuse of melodrama. So, grab a cup of hot coffee or glass of wine - this book is the perfect companion to either - and read this book. You will smile, cry, and hope...right alongside the characters as they take you on a journey you will not soon forget, all from along The Eastern Shore.
